In Rizal, Philippines, there are children who wake up every morning with the same bright, burning hope that lives in all of us. They laugh the loudest. They dream the biggest. They share what little they have without hesitation.
But many of them go to school hungry. Some of them can't go at all. Their families are doing everything they can, but when you're choosing between food and education, the choice makes itself.
I've held their hands. I've danced with them in the rain. I've looked into their eyes and seen something that broke me open: they don't need saving. They need someone to believe they deserve the same chance as everyone else.
